KATHY URIBE
Member of the Board of Trustees

Affectionately known as “Grandmother Kathy,” she is an educator by vocation and a servant of the Light whose professional path extends far beyond conventional classrooms. A teacher by profession, she devoted more than four decades to educating generations of students at different academic levels, standing out especially for her 43 years of academic and institutional work at the Pedagogical University.
Although she formally retired from systematic teaching 21 years ago, her spirit as a teacher has never ceased. Instead, she redirected her vocation toward a pedagogy of the soul: helping human beings remember the deeper purpose of their existence on this sacred planet Gaia, our Pachamama or Mother Earth.
Her service unfolds primarily through talking circles, community gatherings, meditation, and artistic and ancestral expressions such as dance. Her work places children and community at the center, with awareness of the complex dynamics of disorientation affecting new generations in the present day.
Under the central motto “For a better future for children,” every May she promotes the annual “Dance for Mother Earth” gathering, a ceremonial space for reconnection, gratitude, and collective healing that honors life and nature.
On a more personal level, Grandmother Kathy offers direct guidance aimed at helping people recognize the mission they have come to fulfill and the intrinsic gifts they were given to carry it out. To facilitate this opening of consciousness, she draws on the ancestral wisdom of the Mayan Tzolkin and sacred numerology. Through each person’s date of birth, she interprets the guiding symbols and energies that reveal the map of the individual soul.
Her work is a lasting commitment to Love, presence, and spiritual sowing, offered with humility and devotion for as long as her journey through this plane continues.
